James Atteberry1 StarBiggest rip off agency around! Was staying with my mom at a rental house taking care of her until she passed Feb 25th, told her I wanted the house, she said ok no worries then sold it out from under us without even telling us it was up for sale !!!!!!Friday 29th June 2018
Chet Gray1 StarI was informed by a realator in Brownwood about the house that was for sale on the lake. I was going to make an offer with the realator but she suggested I buy it directly through the listing agant Joleen Skipworth. She said she had some bad experiences with her and didn’t want to be in the middle of the deal. Seamed a little unusual but I went ahead with it. I felt like I did everything on this buy. I contacted Joleen by email phone and text twice with no response. Two weeks later she finally emailed me back said something about she was out of town. I made an offer. Didn’t know if it was accepted or not about another two weeks I get an email that was the contract. I called Joleen to see if this meant we had a contract. She didn’t return my call. I waited another week. Finally without any help I signed the contract. After that she said they needed me to verify my funds. I called her again No answer. I called the main office told them I had a question and mentioned I couldn’t ever get her to answer or call me back. The receptionist said she is walking by my desk right now. Joleen finally talks to me in the phone. She seems very put out by this. I asked her if a bank letter would work or did they want to see a picture of the account balance. She said either would work. Approx another week went by still not even sure if we have a signed contract? Then I get an email I need to send the money 3 days before closing. I ask when is closing. No response. I ask again nothing. After the 4th time asking I finally get a date. A week later they want to move up the date. I agree I send the money. We don’t close I ask why, and no answer. I ask again still nothing. Then I am sent a docusign to sign. I do it, and ask when we do we close? Nothing. I finally called linear title and ask a guy there. He tells me it will be three more days, because they misdated the paper work. Three days pass I’m still not sure what title company we are closing at. I asked the realator no response. I called the title company he tells me we are done. I ask him if he could please send me a copy of the closing documents. Since we are now closed Which was very surprising, I ask if I can get the keys. He tells me I need to contact the realator. I try three times over two weeks, and nothing. I guess I have to break in a window of the house I bought in order to get into it. I now understand why the other realator didn’t want to help me. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I wish I could upload the conversations I tried to have with this terrible realator so you could see I’m not making this up. I now understand why this house was on the market for over a year. It was almost impossible to buy it.Monday 24th September 2018
